battery issue? or more?
so ive had my car for a little over 2 years
my car has been acting up for a few days...trouble starting, no start, needs a jump
is this normal for a battery only two years old, seems too soon
i didnt leave my lights on or anything stupid like that
and the engine clicks when i turn the key
the people at kragen says the battery is bad and wont hold charge, but i dont really trust those car parts stores
so what do you think
is it truly just the battery being bad, or is it something more (starter, alternator, etc)
thanks in advance

Ford has been having an issue with the Batteries. If the mileage isnt to high you might be able to get it at least partially covered under warranty (cant remember exactlywhat the proviso's are on batteries).
Alsolots of fairly new cars have had a discharge problem. Im not so sure the batteries are not justbeing killed off by whatever is abusing them. The leadingcanidate for the discharge problem seems to be the remote amps in the Shaker. Supposedly theysomtimes remain powered up when the car is turned of discharging the battery over night.

yeah i was suspecting the shaker
and i called my dealership and the battery is not cover (they think im one to leave my lights on [:@])
but i'll be going to a dealership here in davis to get a second opinion on the problem

So let's get this straight.
The car runs aftera jump, meaning the alternator is charging.
You had it tested and the shop said the battery was dead, but you don't trust them (why go there then?).
What was it you wanted from us again?

I was doing some research online, not that many companys have our battery, sears didnot have one listed for our cars, If you go to interstate battery website, they have one that is 575 cold cranking amps, where I believe our stock one is only 500. you can also lookup dealers in your area on the website.
My car is about 3-1/2 years old now and the battery has gone dead twice. I recharged itboth timesand have had no problems. It is diffinitley tied into leaving the radio on before turning off the car. My car has only 7600 miles on it and the battery never died over the winter months from not being driven or even started that much.
