Next mod question...
Mechanical boost gauge, for sure. And I didn't use a gauge pod. It's a 2 5/8" gauge (I think that's the size - I'm pretty sure) that's just stuck in the hole where the little vent flapper things used to be. I watched the install, it kinda looked like a biotch. Dave had to remove the passenger side air-bag in order to get that piece of the dash out to make it a clean install. Charged me 2 hours labor, but I think it was worth every penny. The uninstall will be MUCH easier, the gauge is loose enough in there that I could probably give it a few tugs and it would come out. Long story short, the install isn't TOO hard, just time consuming, and it doesn't cost you anything but the cost of the gauge, no pod to buy (if you get only one gauge). For two gauges, I wouldn't want to close off two of my vents...
If you get two gauges, the second should be (IMO) a wideband O2 (air/fuel gauge). That's my next investment (well, after a clutch, anyway).
LCA = lower control arm
UCA = upper control arm
For the acronyms, someone posted a pretty comprehensive list of them on here somewhere. Just do a search for acronym and I'm sure it'll pop up.
Soyes, if you're tight on budget, you COULD get the mechanical boost gauge and the MGW both, for probably like $410 or so. That's assuming you perform both installs yourself.
The boost gauge I have is http://www.autometer.com/cat_gaugede...h&gid=3155 I think it was like $69 from Brenspeed or something, but don't quote me on that. The MGW is available here http://www.mgwltd.com/mustang2005_shifter.shtml I left my stock **** on for that stealth appearance.

Right on, thanks for the info! I'll probably end up saving up a bit of cash and then getting the gauge vent pod first, and then the shifter. But...we'll see what happens!!!
If you're going to get an actual vent POD, then make sure you get the proper size gauge for it. I think the pods take 2 1/16" gauges. Mine is a 2 5/8" so it fills up the whole vent, no pod needed.
Definitely! I live in Vegas, so there is no way I'm going to sacrifice a vent for the gauge! I'll get the smaller gauge and the vent pod so that the A/C can still flow out around it!
I have mine mounted to my dash in Autometer's dash pod...looks amazing and is right in my sight view with no worrying about messing up the A/C or anything. I'd hate to have to install it though because of what was said above about having to take the dash apart and all. Gauges you need to get are Wideband A/F ratio, Boost/Vacuum, and Oil Pressure are the first three at least...I'd get the gauges and then the shifter...JMHO because your shifter won't break, but who's to say that you could miss a critical measurement of something going on with your engine. With the temperatures out there in Vegas and I'm sure you get in boost often because I sure do
...you'll want to monitor your engine carefully...unless you can just buy a built motor to replace yours sometime if it went up in smoke and fire lol
