And I'm already disappointed. Both of them have some loose piece of metal rattling around inside and I can't get it to come out of there. I really do not look forward to going to the trouble of installation only to have some nasty metallic rattle going on back there. Seems like I'm not the first one to complain about this issue.

So what's the deal? If I can't get whatever it is making the noise out of there it's an instant exchange?

Depends on the Vendor... most will issue you an RMA #, and supply a pre-paid shipping label for you to return... then, they will ship replacement set when received. I'd recommend asking the vendor to pre-inspect next set before shipping (for cosmetic imperfections and loose metal). One of my boomtubes had a small piece of metal in them as well... but after a few turns, shakes, it came out. Looked liked a tiny piece from the welds. Trust me... you'll be happy with em once you get them installed and fire it up.

 

I'll try again to twist and shake to see if I can get the metal out. If not then I guess I'll call up Brenspeed and see what they want to do about this.

It probably is a piece of weld that came loose somehow. Sucks.

 

Brenspeed says they're trashed and it's an exchange.

But naturally they're on backorder w/the manufacturer. Wunderbar! So figure at least two weeks minimum now.

I'm pretty bummed. I waited for these to get here ground shipping, over a weekend. They're trashed. And now I find out it's backorder time. Whoopty doo!! Let's just say I've got a reputation amongst those who know me personally for having legendary bad luck when it comes to ordering things over the net. This is just one in a long, long line of disappointments.
