1. unloosen the four nuts and pop out the remaining plastic studs.
I love my scoop (although it isn't the best fitting scoop). I may 3M it in the future where it bulges.

I've taken mine off to install the stripes and as you can see in the pic there are 12 holes that you would have to fill. I would be afraid that welding in those holes could warp the aluminum hood.
I like my scoop and couldn't care less if someone else doesn't like it.
