So its more of an anti-rim-theft alarm?
A good electric fence charger and you would still have all your lugs.
Someone should cut off their nuts.

Tie them behind your car a drive around for a bit....show them how fast it does 0-60. By the end of the trip all that should be remaining is an ankle.....

I dont know what country your livingin at the moment, But you cannot shoot someone infront of your house for trying to steal your wheels, especially in (NEW JERSEY). Do locking nuts really work? I have them on my rims but not sure how much good they do. I figure if a criminal is out for rims then they might have something that will take locking lug nuts off.

If they really want to take your rims locking lugs won't do much good unless they are amateurs and don't know what they are doing. You can buy a tool at Sears that removes locking lugs. I know this because I bought a Mustang in the past from a person who had locking lugs on the car but didn't have the key for them. I absolutely hated the wheels and couldn't get them off so I did some searching, found a tool and was able to remove them no problem.
