Default Got my 2005 Mustang GT...what should I do to it?

I work for a Ford dealership and I had another dealership 2 states away wholesale me a 2005 GT in Mineral Gray with 17,000 miles, auto, tcs, and shaker 1000. It took 2 weeks to get here, but now I have it! So...I don't want to make it a track car, because I drive it every day, but I do want a louder exhaust and a little more power. I also wouldn't mind dressing it up a bit, under the hood, interior, and exterior. I'm not looking to break the bank but I'm open to all suggestions...with pics if available!

I don't know if I want to tune it...does that effect the reliability at all, what octane do you have to run with a tune? I got it for a little over $17K

FWIW...

I just put an exhaust on my 06 GT. Awesome. Actually, too loud maybe... Trying it out.

Got a CAI/Tune coming next Monday. I wish I would NOT have waited for the CAI/Tune so long, and I don't even have it yet! (esp the auto)

I am having my u/d pulleys installed tomorrow.

But, when I got my car, the first stop on my return to my town was my tinter. I have a guy I've worked with for years. I begged to have him do it next morning.

My tint was 400 total. Very good job, there are secrets to making the tint look bad@ss, but yes, first mod on the 05+ mustang is to tint, imho.

Stroll over to the Parts counter and order the FRPP (Borla) exhaust.

You can run pretty much any octane you want. Most tuners come with the spacefor 3 tunes, which can beanywhere from 87 to93 octane with specs formileage, performance, torque, and others. It all depends on what you are going to do with the car.

If you get an intake, you are going to want a tune to get the most out of it. With out a tune, an intake may cause your engine to run lean. Also, a good intake and tune should get you up to about 300rwhp.

BTW here is the exhaust thread. FRPP GTAs seem to be the best bang for buck, but its all a matter of personal preference and how much you willing to spend.
