remember, when they auctioned off the number 001 KR it was for charity. That means the price is not a real value and should not be discussed, ever![:'(]
The car looked cool, (here's 2 pics) especially with the glassback rook and the stripe etched into it. But if you have the $100,000 that most of them will sell for you really should get a GT500 and mod that.
An excellent custom job, by a well known company, can still have some collector value.
We won't know real prices until people start buying them. And low # KR's will go for a lot more than later ones.
I'd rather have a Supersnake, all things being even.

The first one sold for $250k only the first one. Both KR clones used in the knighroder series sold for $250k soon after (not each but both).
The shelby super snake which has 40% more HP, and looks better whilemaintaining all the original details is 57k, i think that's worth it.

The sticker price is for around 86K...but as we all saw with the GT500's when they came out...dealer adjustment way over sticker!! GT500's are 20,000 units out and still going for over sticker, and the KR's will only have 1500 available (in the U.S.) after they added the addition of an 09 model. My local dealership is bragging that they have an allotment for ONE KR, and that they won't sell for less than 150K...but they're hoping to get around 180K. I told them that was a little high priced...but they are optomistic about it.
