Default Need O2 sensor help

the car keeps throwing a P0153(i think) code....it's the bank 2 sensor 1 o2 slow response code. I clear it and it keeps coming back. the question is: is a sensor expensive to buy out right without using the warranty? i've got frpp shorties and a mac off road x that i don't want to switch out to take to the dealer for warranty repairs, too much work. i think i'd rather the purchase the sensor and try to replace it myself or have the guy who installed the headers change it out for me.....unless of course someone in san antonio can suggest a dealer that would "wink" at my mods.

any of you ford dudes have any suggestions?

P0153 is the same as P0133, here it is
for reference

was your sensor relocated at all with the shorties.....this is common code if this is the case. You tuner can fix it for you.

okay, i'm a little confused. aren't there 3 sensors only on this car? i have the catalyst temp sensors turned off after installing the x pipe. the remaining sensor that's throwing the code(i think) i assume is the forward sensor on the driver's side, and it's actually mounted just above the flange in the headers themselves.(i'm thinking that's pretty much the stock location) um, now you say the tuner can fix it for me, do you mean the predator? i don't have a custom tune or a person who has done any tuning other than me just modifying parameters for the catalyst temp sensor disabling and changing tire size. i suppose this question really references your answer and hammeron's also. i'm not sure why i would get a P0133 code while having only one forward sensor. perhaps i'm misunderstanding the whole thing....the instructions for the predator u7145 didn't match up with the menu that actually shows up on the screen itself. i just made an assumption that the catalyst temp sensors was what i wanted to turn off, since the instructions called for turning off the rear o2 sensors, but that choice wasn't an option on the u145 version. perhaps i need to contact diablosport?

the car is still running fine, other than the cel there doesn't seem to be any issues.

4 sensors, you did shut off the rear but there are to more each side upstrem. The drivers side was originally on the stock manifold and the passenger was furthdown on the midpipe, which you replace with the x pipe and should still be close to stock location. I would say that the drivers side is what is throwing the code

sorry rojizo if i made it confusing

yes bank 2 sensor 1 is on the drivers side,
closest to the engine (upstream)

i posted the 0133, because it has the same
possible causes

okay, now it makes a little more sense.....that's why i was told to switch the sensor from one side to the other. if i have a bad sensor that's throwing the p0153 code then it should shift over to a p0133 code. if there's another problem besides the sensor itself i assume i would continue to get the p0153 code?

it's been a while since i installed the x pipe, and looking from the top of the car i could only see the one sensor on the driver's side. thanks for your help.

okay, last question about this....the P0153 is driver's side or passenger side, just to be certain?
