Horrible! lol. I bought a winshield antenna, its hidden under the headliner, I just havn't got around to installing it yet. It cost me $150 to get it shaved and $30 for the antenna.

Save yourself some cash$ take a die grinder with a Zip cut and cut it down to 8" or 14", glue the ball back on the end I used some emery cloth and touch up paint gloss black looks good no problem with reception.........

cool...thanks for the DIY info...i just may go do that this afternoon since nothing else is goin on...maybe go billet later, but i'd rather not draw attention to it, but don't wanna shave it (price isn't worth it to me

the reception question was just cuz every shorty description i read said reception will be lower - i figured it was just a disclaimer so you couldn't come back at them if you did have reception probs, but sounds like you guys aren't having probs, so it's all good

This is my shorty. It comes in black powder-coated or billet aluminum and screws on just like the factory one. Now that's a shorty!

Where did you get that antenna? What did it cost? How is the reception?

Thanks.

I have the 14" black from AM. The decrease in reception over the stock antenna was very minor; perhaps a 10-20 mile difference in when I begin to pick up a local FM station when I'm heading home from out-of-town.It's the fringe reception that's impacted. You won't notice any problem ifthe signal is strong. Don't let anyone fool you. Decreasing the size DOES impact reception.

No reception loss here. Guess it depends how dense a population you live in.
