I have a friend looking at purchasing a 2008 GT and he found one online with a GT Upfitters package. Anyone know what this package has in it?

 

yes it means the car was marked to be a Roush Saleen Steeda Foose Shelby etc and was cut from production then sold to a normal ford dealer. The upfitters package costs $2000 and removes the floor mats. Most dealers will sell these cars for much cheeper than other cars once they know what the package is.

 

According to the window stickers, the GT Upfitter's Package shows $2140 and includes:

235/50ZR18 tire
Rear Spoiler Delete
3.55 Gears
18" Polished Aluminum Wheels.

Given that an 18" wheel package generally MSRPs at $925, and the 3.55 gears
are $300, seems like they're charging another $900 to delete the spoiler?

There's gotta be more to it that that.

 

Basically it's one of the reasons that the Shelbys and others are overpriced...not only are the parts they add expensive but they make the car from the factory too expensive as well...

 

The upfitters package can inclue various things. Feel lucky that this one includes the polished wheels. Still pretty sure they delete the floor matts.
