Default Pypes X-pipe dilemna

Ok, so i just picked up a pypes xpipe for $50 from a local and was all set to install it. Well i am moving to VA in a couple weeks so i decided to check their emissions laws and turns out the county i'll be moving to requires an emissions check every 2 years. Would it be that difficult to cut the stock exhaust off right after the cats and then cut the xpipe at the same place, weld the catted pipe to the xpipe and then be legal? Or if it was you would you just swap them out every 2yrs for emissions?

Do what i do. I have the O/R H pipe on mine but i kept the stock h pipe. I just swap the stock stuff on, get tested, and hurry home and swap back. Takes maybe a 1/2 hour to swap....

You are going to need a tune with no cats,So I would swap it out every two years and reap the benefits of no cats. You could cut and splice,But it would be asier to do that with the FRPP X-pipe that is designed for that.GO NO CATS AND TUNE!

i got the bassani setup, its a multi-piece design with highflow cats and race pipes. pop the cats on, take the tune back to stock, go to inspection, pop the race pipes back on, flash it back to my tune.

to be honest swapping the pipe out every 2 years is not that bad.

It takes much longer than 30 minutes to switch out a midpipe.

Not after you've done it a few times. Put some antisieze on the bolts this time to make future switches quicker.

Just swap it out for a day every 2 years. Or you could sell it to me
