I've been looking to buy my first GT. Using Ford's dealer inventory search, each zip code I enter bring up dealers that are out of stock. Is this true?

Welcome, you can go to dealers and I'm sure you will find several on their lots.

Many more v6s are produced compared to GTs. Not surprised some dealers do not have them in stock. FYI - I got several calls from the dealer I bought my car from (06 GT vert 5-speed w 4700 miles) asking if I was interested in selling it to them - they say a lot of Germans are interested in the GTs because of the Euro vs Dollar - they also seem to prefer the Silver/Black - which I have). I'm sure other dealers have them though.

I think the inventory system is not working at Fordvehicles.com ... It shows that every dealer in my area is out of 2008 Mustangs ... there ain't no way.

My local dealer in Wa has some in the lot, bet would be the same out there too.

When I was looking for my GT, I found that the Ford online inventory tool was spot on accurate.
Even to the point of showing me a car on a Friday, that had just arrived on a Thursday. I was
told it updates as soon as a car ships. It does not show a car a dealer has on order.

Can't speak for whether it's working at the moment, but when I was looking, it really
helped me narrow my search down...

It's currently not working. I was just trying to use it to look at some cars I had seen the day before at several different dealers, and every single dealer said "out of stock," even though they are not.

Even the dealer I drive by every day on the way to work who has about 5 at all times said "out of stock."

I've been to some dealersin Connecticut and have even found brand new 07s let alone 08s.

They have plenty, I got my 07 in july last year, and the dealer stillhad 7 GT's left.
