RE: Roush 427R...
If you are planing to keep the car for a long time and not use it very often (i.e, only weekends or shows), I would get it.
but if your plan is a car for driving often and modding it...
It's basically a mustang gt with roush body kit and roush supercharger (witch in my taste, it is one of the worst superchargers out there). It is nice to have a factory warranty car supercharged, but you wont be able to pulley the supercharger or your warranty will be void.
I would rather spend 20k or so on a used gt, invest 6k on a supercharger and 3k on appearance mods.
just think everything twice before pulling the trigger...

RE: Roush 427R...
For all those that don't own a 427R and who are thowing out misinformation, the Roush Pulley Upgrade on the Roushcharger is fully warrantied and is already a part of the 2008 model year. The Roush charger and the entire car/suspenion package that has been built around the 427R package is a great combo. It has plenty of power and even with the so called crappy Roushcharger. Its a turn key car that drives great, handles very well and has plenty of power except for the few hard core racers. I wouldn't recommend it for a daily driver. That $38,000 is a great price for that car. At least you know you haven't bought a GT with all sorts of issues that come with buying a modded car sometimes.

Prices are definately coming down...saw a Foose advertised for 36,000 and a PJ for 9,000 off msrp. These prices were in the local ads this morning. You can also get a GT500 for msrp now so things are looking good for us not so rich enthusiasts.
