Car looks good but a picture here never does it justice just like audio clips. How are you doing on paint chips? I have had my car hood painted two times now and it still gets chips out the ***. Macco quoted me a 125 dollars to get it repainted. That's not bad considering we are getting stimulus checks soon.
I have about 20 Chips down to the primer touched up with a touchup pen.
ive been debating getting it redone but they are only going to keep happening.
I have been looking into an Arcylic clear coat Aka oldschool airplane paint so it doesnt chip anymore, however making it shine like this will be harder as well.

It's too bad they couldn't make like the old bosses a little paint and a lot of flat black. Let me Google this and so I can't explain myself better.
let me explain the airplane paint idea. My dads 62 Vette, has a special paintjob done. they mixxed some form or ultra hard clear, I want to say acrylic but im not sure, Added an Epoxy type substance right before spraying. and when i say hard, This paint job is near bullet proof. he has yet to have 1 chip in his car by anything the road has ever thrown at it.
However, The finish cannot be improved, I have tried buffing/compounding and I cannot make it shine anymore then it has as of the paint job 30 years ago. So I can only imagine the prepwork must have been monumental being the finish doesnt change because of this type of clearcoat they used
