anyway, i had an interested party but he said that sct said that my custom tunes will only work on my car. i never heard that before. is this true?

what do u mean by exact code. it was put on my car for the JLT II which he intends to buy. the tunes were for an otherwise stock setup which is him now. my car is 06 manual, his is 07 manual. both GT.

 

Pcm code for the tune for that specific setup. I picked up a used jlt last year and a used unlocked tuner and I just purchased a single brenspeed tune file. I'm sure you can find a buyer if the price is right. Coinsidering they will most likely have to order tunes for an additional cost. A lot of times it's cheaper just to buy new combo and get the three tunes.

 

that's why im wondering, what car would my tunes work on? i dont understand why it wouldnt work on any GT, the tuner is unlocked with tunes stored.

 

That's how sct and the tuners made a mint. you tunes may work on the same pcm code as someone else, same year. with the same mods, transmission, etc. If the tuners unlocked, and codes don't match, your custom tune wouldn't work on their car.

Good luck on the sale. it's a pain trying to find a buyer and seller on good terms in this economy.
