Clay bar and wax 3 days ago, and already feels like sand paper!?!

Clay bar and wax 3 days ago, and already feels like sand paper!?!
ok.. damnit.. so i clay bared and waxed my hood and front two fenders like no lie 3 days ago.. for 2 days, it felt great, how a cars paint SHOULD feel.. well today i at work i went to feel it, (note: it is dirty).. it felt liek fckin sand paper!!.. there was little gritty bumps alllll in the paint and everywhere.. i was like... WTF!?!?
any ideas!?!?..i work at advance auto parts, so i bought a 10" buffer, a new meguiers clay bar kit, and meguiers 3 step cleaner wax, polish, and wax process..
IM GOIN AT IT TOMARROW, AND THE ENTIRE CAR THIS TIME.... damnit

It sounds like airborne contamination. What's the air quality in your area?

honestly.. i live in orlando, fl.. not like.. ORLANDO.. but out skirts.. and its not like pollution heaven, but its not like farm land clean air either..
but i dont know if that could be it or not.. and no lol.. no fire scenes with the stang [&:]

Could be tree sap, insect droppings, or an airbourne pollutate...
Figure out where your car has been parked, did you drive behind a truck with a load of something or were you at a location that might have contributed to this condition???
Normally, after the clay bar and wax, your car should feel like a "mirror" for a long time...

ya thats what i have always experienced, and it was doing well for a few days.. and then, like night and day, it went from baby bottom smooth to 80 gritt sand paper.. you could probably file your nails on it.. lol (not really)
but i think it MIGHHT be the tree i park under at home.. and im htinking with rain or something maybe its leaking sh.it all over my hood.. so now im parking on the side of the driveway, FAR AWAY from the damn tree..
but the truck thing is also a possibilty.. ACTUALLY.. now that i htink of it.. i was in down town orlando parked under some stupidly big oak trees, but only for like an hr. and half.. but i think maybe following a truck with crap in the back might be the cause..

Give it a good wash and see if it still feels gritty. It could be as simple as all the sitcky crap in the air in the springtime. This will wash off with a proper wash if it's just sap and dirt.
If it still feels gritty, you have bad air quality, or were unfortunate enough to drive through some contamination.

How about love bug guts?
Non-Florida people wont get that, but they are back and when you hit them they leave big chunks on the car.
I waxed my car about a month ago with new Turtle Wax ice. doesnt leave any white residue. You can actually use it on the plastics too, like the mirrors. Worked great and the car is still real smooth, ie freshly waxed feeling.
When I wax I general do 2 passes on the whole car, and one additional pass on all horizontal surfaces (Hood, roof, trunk) and the front bumper. They need the most protection.
