my very first time with my 05 GT 5 speed ran 8.90 in the eighth mile. That was bone stock too, even the Pirellis!! I've never ran it at a quarter cuz we don't have any around here, that was also done at night with about 60-65 degree weather. My car is not stock anymnore so with my Pypes mid-muffler C&L intake and Bama 91 tune hopefully i can run an 8.6 and with DR's maybe an 8.3

Anywhere from 13.6- in the 14s

lots of different things accumulate your time so it all depends.

Honestly if you run better than a 13.6 I'll be suprised since it's your first time out at the track.

i also have the pirellis and im taking the spare out the trunk, i read somewhere that it may help with reducing weight so we will see, also when does everyone get their tickets? after all runs or individually?

+1. Temp and DA would help narrow it down a bit.
I'm going later tonight too .

just make sure you bring that spare with you! i'd hate to get a flat out at the track and need a tow home...

since it's your first time ever at the track to get your best speeds i would definitely not stage your car. keep your foot on the clutch and when the light turns green dump the clutch and hit the gas. your car will probably bog a little which will help you with traction and you'll probably get your best times that way. imo that's the best way for a newbie at the track to post a ok time. just don't rev it up and then dump the clutch you'll just spin like crazy. once you get comfortable you can start with revving it up andletting the clutch out slowly while giving it the right amount of gas so you don't spin. but you have to be comfotable at the track first before you start practicing like that. do what I said and just enjoy it and relax and when you're totally cool with being out there then start trying to really chip away at your time with other techniques.

Yes it reduces weight, go ahead and do that. About getting your ticket, are you talking about your time slip? If so then I'm not sure every place is different lol. Mine is after each run individually.
