Default On adding headers

If you add headers and a X pipe with high flow cat, will you get the light??

You shouldn't. Only if you take off your cats.

You can run no CATS with MIL Eliminators and you wont get the check engine light either.

Im running BBK LTs and O/R X-pipe with the eliminators....no problems....no light

+1 to StowesStang.

You can take off your cats and not have the light come on if you pick up some MIL eliminators or if you have a Tuner.

I have been thinking of doing this but what happens if you get pulled over w/o cats...?

you won't get a light for the rear o2 sensors, but you can get a light for the front sensors after header install....slow 02 sensor response(codes p0153 and p0133). as some of the others have told me, that can usually only be cured with a tune. what's interesting is that most of those who get those codes get them with long tubes...but i got'em with shorties.

i should add that i'm not sure that those who got those codes with long tubes did it with or without cats. i got those codes with shorties and no cats. those codes are for the sensors upstream of the cats.

I have not seen any issues with the o2 sensors. A tech at Brenspeed told me some long tubes do have issues depending on where the o2 sensors are located at. He said that most of the time the long tubes with problems are the ones with the o2 sensor located in the collectors, but that is where my sensors are located and i haven't had any problems. He told me it can be fixed with a tune.
