Door ding (from the inside)
Not exactly a door ding.
I noticed my fuel door has a small ding from the inside of the panel, which is most likely from when I took the lanyard off the old gas cap & was putting it on the new locking gas cap, as I struggled with the little plug on the other end of the lanyard which attaches it to the fuel door. Anyway, it's a pointless, regrettable story.
So my question is, do you think a paintless dent repair place will be able to fix the small ding which is in an outward direction, rather than the usual inward-facing ding?
I don't know much about PDR, but I was under the impression that they use some kind of suction to "pop" the dent out of the panel, and with my fuel door situation, there's some structural metal and whatever covering the inside of the panel, so they won't be able to access it cleanly for any kind of suction work.
So yeah, thoughts?
I'd just get something aftermarket to replace the door, but I want to keep the stock painted look and don't want to replace that door with chrome or whatever, so that isn't really an option.

^^ haha, good thought.
Anyway, happy ending, I went to the Paintless Dent Removal guy, 5 minutes and $50 later and you can't even tell the dent was ever there. They said the "outtie" dents are harder to deal with than the "innie" dents, but the one I had was pretty shallow so they looked after it very nicely.
So anyone with dents of any kind on the Mustang you baby so much, definitely check out a paintless dent removal place near you.
I'll be singing the praises of PDR for a long time.
God knows what my dealership would have charged me for a new fuel door ("That'll be $300 plus paint and labor, sir")
