Default MGW Shifter movement

I just got done installing the MGW short shifter. Took it out for a test spin and I noticed that the stick moves, although subtly, immediately after shifting from 1st to 2nd and from 2nd to 3rd. The movement is almost like porposing. Has anyone else experienced this? Is it a problem or normal? Thanks.

I'm not exactly sure what you're talking about but you had to remember the transmission does move around a little bit. So as long as it's not popping out of gear, you're fine.

Its not popping out of gear. I just got underneath again and checked all the bolts and nuts. They are all firm. I just see slight movement (about 1/8") back and forth from 1000-1700 rpms in 2nd and 3rd gear. Instructions say "the shifter body is designed to pivot freely so that it can torque with the transmission". Maybe this is the movement. Just more than I expected or felt compared to my stock shift.
