I'm keeping the stock rim/tires for cold weather driving so I can't take the sensors out. I'll just have to live with it.

 

Well, ordered the tool, got it at my local dealer for $27.50 with tax.
Ordered pn: 8C2Z-1A203-A parts bag has same number.
bag within the bag has pn: 8C2T-1A203-AB which matches the pn. on the tool itself! So, I would guess they are the same-the parts guys didn't seem to know-which doesn't matter, as long as it works
Ohya, Steeda didn't know the pn difference either, just recomended buying theirs, hehe. BTW-Steeda list there's as covering most if not all the 07-08 Ford models.
Hope this helps anyone with some TPMS questions-I bought mine because the dealer is 1/2 hour drive away(not far) but I prefer to fix my own things.

 

I always thought the tool was way more than that. I might end up putting the bands in my wheels and tires, finally.[8D]

 

I got the tool on E-bay for $20 but no instructions. Do you know what the procedure is for re-programming the TPMS.

It programs the SJB to the new sensors. The sensors themselves are
not programmable.

I just took my car to the dealer after I got my new rims and tires installed. They reprogrammed the TPMS sensors for free for me. Took less than a minute.
