Ok, that was funny. I actually did smoke a WS6 Trans Am a few nights ago on I-35 south here in austin. Sounded like aftermarket exhaust can't comment on what else. From a 50mph roll I left him pretty bad twice. Was trying to talk to him the second time but he was pissed and wanted to run again. Blew him off after the second run after pulling a car-length.
I actually like to shoot the **** after racing (even after losing). It's all in fun...

Fastest car I ever drove was a 1970 something GREMLIN with a built 327 small block. Guy had filled the rear bumper with concrete jsut to add weight to the rear end for traction....still couldnt get laid in the phillipines with a 20 dollar bill hanging out of his zipper if he was driving that car!!!! Sorry dude, I will take a Mustang V6 over an 80 something camaro that will turn 12 second quarters any day of the week and twice on tuesday.

An older guy I work with that has had several Corvettes was looking at the GT500 but finally showed up with a 35th anniv. Camaro Z28/SS convertible. It looks real nice and he keeps wanting to run me with his auto SS (you know how they are).
I respect my elders and don't want to laugh at him but know what the deal is...
He actually gave me props, they were getting breakfast from the OMNI hotel downtown Austin the other day and I was pulling into the garage for work. He said he likedmy car and thought it sounded REALLY good.

browsing the first couple pages of the timeslips thread, i saw a bone stone GT running 8.9 and several with cai/tune maybe udps on stock tires running mid 8s.........like i said before the 8.9 seems easily beatable
