Default Shaker 1000 Question

I was going through the Ford website when i saw that it said that the shaker 1000 come with 10 speakers. If I could count correctly I only count 8 in my car. The two on each door the two in the back and the two subs. That total out to eight. Did i get screwed by Ford? or can someone help me find the other two I am missing

Seems 2+2+2=6 in my book. Trouble with math?

2 full range, 2 subs in each door.
2 full range in rear deck.
4 subs in trunk.
10 total.

But you are correct thinking you got screwed with the skipper 1000.

Actually, he said 2 in each door which equals 4. Trouble with reading?

But yeah, unless they added 2 more speakers in the newer years, like maybe some tweeters somewhere, I believe there are only 8.

you are all wrong !!

2 subs in trunk
2 subs in door
2 in the rear deck

Here is where ford is creative
there is a 5x7/6x8 plate in the doors that have a tweeter and a woofer if i remember correctly
so that makes 10

You should feel gy... uh, taken advantage of. (Don't wanna getcaught up using racial epithets.)

The"audiophile" speakers Ford uses in the Shaker 1000 system are the same 4 ohm 25 watt Chinese junk they use in the Shaker 500, and probably base, system. Swap out all four5" x 7"/6" x 8" speakersfor some Pioneer TS-D6802R or Infinity Kappa 682.9CF coaxials. While you're in the doors pop in a pair of Pioneer TS-SW841D shallow 8" subs.

Then you canclaim you have 12 audiophile speakers!
