How true is this?
I am soon going to an Avic-z3 navigation system (for those of you who dont know, its almost exactly like the avic-z2 indash just with new updates to the software) and I was telling the guy who installed my Viper 5900 alarm/remote start about it and he told me not to do it for one main reason. He said because I have the shaker 500, putting in anything else will make it sound like complete ****.. or not as good where it's noticeable. Any one have this issue? Is that accurate? And is there any specific inverters or converters or parts im going to need to have this put in other then the mounting kit?
I've got a Z2 with no problems. It's a little harder to install since you need a resistor etc but that applies to all headunits. It's a little harder to "ground out" to work while driving but not too bad.
So you guys are having or have had a navy unit installed in your dash where your stereo was? Is it a stereo also?
