Default Dry spot on my roof???

So the other day I was washing my car and I noticed that on my roof is what I call a "dry spot". Pretty much this part is rough instead of smooth and looks slightly faded. I tried waxing to see if it would get any better but nothing. Is there a solution/repair I can do or is it a repaint job???

I am thinking your "spot" is the result of a bird dropping. Depending on how long it sat on the paint will determine if you need paint or not. If you know someone that works at a bodyshop, have him check it out. A lot of times it can be wheeled out.

Good chance it is from bird droppings.
You can try and fix but the damage is done.
Preventitive washing and waxing is the only way
against bird droppings.
Take her to the local body shop and see what they say.

I have them on each side of my front fenders right above the tires. It almost looks like there is less clearcoat then on the rest of the car. It still shines but it feels diffrent.

Try to clay it ... It's hard to diagnose problems like these sight unseen. I'd suggest you take pictures of the problem and go down to the detailing forum. We can probably give you some good advice on paint issues or you could just email me the pictures and I'll give you my advice. I've been detailing for quite a long time on a professional level.
