Default RE: Whipple, Saleen, or Kenne Bell

I appreciate the responses. The more research i'm conducting, the more i am wanting the Whipple. I think i may go that route. Man that polished one looks bangin'! Now i have another problem. I have a CDC shaker on my car right now. I know that it won't work with a twin screw or roots s/c as far as i know. So what to do with the hole in the hood. I thought about covering it with a scoop. My car is done up to look like a 1970 mach1 and the shaker pulls off that look. Cervini's sells a mach1 style hood scoop they call the m1. It comes with or without the turn sicnals in them. This would keep the look that i want correct. In 1969/1970 the mach 1's hoods came three ways. No hood scoop, hood scoop, shaker(428 cobra jet). I just hope that the scoop is wide enough to cover the hole in the hood. Guess i'll have to get the deminsions from them. Anyoneelse run into or know someone that had similar issues? Thanks again.

Do you have any pictures of your hood/shaker setup?

All of your choices are nice but I'd be going with the Whipple H/O kit.

Don't get Magnuson.

I raced a 06' GT (man)with the magnuson S/C the other night and owned it. And I have an 05' X-Charger (auto).

We only did about a 1/4 mile, if that...he probably would have beat me in the long run. But still, for a supercharged GT to lose to a supercharged V6? It's sad.

Anyways, reason I know this is because I talked to the guy after stopping at a 7-11 lol.

So...my vote is...don't go with magnuson. You can say I'm BSing if you want, but it is what it is. I've seen Kenne Bell on a GT500 and it kicked ***, but not sure how it would be on a GT. Whipple is the usual S/C people go for, and its the most popular. But might not be whats for you.

You haven't mentioned who's doing the install (and final tuning, if any). Only then can I give you an honest opinion.

So does this mean you'll be selling that cdc shaker?
I'm in love with the look of those things.

I've seen MANY cars with Kenne Bells have to put ice bags on their S/Cs because they overheat, whereas the Whipples that put out the same #'s are still running at the track...I LOVE my whipple and think that at car shows when my hood is raisedit's the better looking of the 2...
