Default To lower or not to lower...

I want to lower the mustang but I'm not sure what springs to use...

Somebody give me some advice on what sits a good bit lower than stock but won't beat me to hell...what do I need beside the springs to keep the ride tolerable.

I'm doing this SOON so I need some advice quick...lol

Eibach Pro Kit is a decent drop, but not too major.

To lower or not to lower... That Is The Question!

I need to lower mine but with my CDC chin I can't even get my jack under the front now. If I lower the car all around I won't be able to get my jack under the stock jack location at the side. Have to think about this.

Go with the Pro-Kit from Eibach this is by far the most popular kit used. You may want to consider the Ford Racing springs as they are a little cheaper but I think made by Eibach. I have springs only. Some will tell you to get this or that but that will be your choice. I would also say if you have the money for struts and you have plans to do them have it done at the same time as the springs to save some install $.

BMR also has anice springs for the S197 and they revised the drop to be 1.5 vs. 1.75.

Any of these will do it for you. You will always lose something ride wise with a drop but IMO it's more than worth it for the look and performance.

I have the Ford Racing Springs and love it the way it is.

Is there anything else I need or just the springs?

I'm trying to figure out what I'm doing with my car...these are my ideas:

-Bassani catted x pipe
-CAI + tune combo from Bama
-Lower it
-Maaaaybe underdrive pulleys- don't really know if they're needed

Some help would be appreciated

I have to drive my car up onto a 2x4 block of wood to get the floor jack under it.
(Roush 3/4" springs front and back on convertible 255/45/81 & 285/40/18 tires.)

Here is a site with all three (FRPP, BMR & Eibach)so you can compare and they are a forum sponser!

Will you be doing struts now? You don't need to with the above if you don't plan to at this time.

idk man lower it for looks or get the bama tune+ intake? id do both but id surely go for the intake first. u know your car looks good already (it a mustang) haha. just hold off awhile on lowering it and get u the go fast stuff.. i know i enjoyed mine more than lowering it.. install is 20 mins and u feel like u have a new car... lowering on the other hand was a big ol bitch the first time.

I go the Eibach Pro-kit and would recommend just leaving it stock if it's a daily driver.
The ride won't be as good unless you get all the other suspension parts replaced with adjustables.
Don't forget the new rims!

Of course, if money's no object you could probably get away with just a slight reduction in ride feel for much improved looks.
