Default Heat insulation

Now that it's hot down here in south texas my CAI gets really hot to the touch. I'venoticed that my coolant hose is really close to the CAI (within 1/2'). I've seen some guys use foam insulation and such over the coolant hose and I'm not sure how well that works. I'd like to know if anyone else insulates their CAI and how.

Default RE: Heat insulation

I applied double layers of exhaust wrap and a top layer of dynamat insulating material around my coolant hose and also the C&L racer plastic tube tonight. There appears to be a big difference in heat soak now.

We'll see tomorrow how it affects...

Your car will not overheat NA with just an intake.
