Default Considering o/r h

I have boomtubes, wondering about o/r h. How much louder in and out of the car? Will it trumpet or produce issues w/droning that aren't there already?

Do I need to replace my headers before replacing the midpipe?

Different model off-road h'sdepending onyour setup. If you have long-tubes you will need the specific off-road pipe for your LT's. Do you still have stock exhaust manifolds?

Nevermind, I see that you're mostly stock. I would HIGHLY recommend the off road pipe. you will need a tuner to deactivate your rear O2 sensors or you will get MIL indicators on the dash.

Get a tuner, your off-road pipe and keep your stock mid-pipe for emission time. My o/r pipe probably picked my up 10rwhp. I didn't dynoimmediatelyafter the o/r addition but had another one after a new axle back and picked up 10rwhp. I associate that gain to the off road setup.

Do they make a prochamber for the stock manifold setup? I can't really recommend one b/c I've had longtubes for the life of my car....

Yeah I have the stock manifolds. LT headers - not sure if they're in the cards or not. Undecided.

As for the prochamber I'm not sure about that. One of the guys here who has it and boomtubes mentioned trumpeting in the upper RPM ranges. Not sure I like the sound of that no pun intended.

I'm a newb about this stuff hence 20 questions here. If I get a midpipe I don't want some piece of junk that ends up needing to be welded in 4 places to keep it from leaking. Also, a quality one that would mate up with a good set of LT headers someday down the road if I want would also be a big plus.

Glad to help, but any midpipe you get now willNEVER mate up with longtubes. Whole different animal. Longtubes are expensive. Expensive to buy and expensive to have installed. You'll also want some good engine mounts also if you ever go longtubes. Look at about a $1k expense (but worth it in the long run).

the midpipes that mate to the stock exhaust manifolds are made differently. I think that either JBA or MAC just came out with one that works great.
