2009 Mustang

RE: 2009 Mustang
I make it a point of not having any problem affording gas for whatever car I buy. My mustang is my daily driver. As will be my next one. While I love this car, it's not so great that I'm afraid to use it...
Also, I hate to break it to you but, relatively speaking, our gas is dirt cheap. Even if/when it reaches $7 a gallon, it will still be cheaper than the $8+ that most of europe is paying today.
If these are really your concerns, you may want to plan ahead and buy a civic.

I don't buy gas really, I drive a "company" vehicle with a "company" gas card. However I do buy food, clothes, toys, etc.. which are all effected by the price of diesel... Most European contries charge tarriffs on gas which drives up the price by cutting their government's need to heavily tax their populous.. We do not tarriff foriegn goods sir

My point was that gas prices are bound to go up. They have been for years and years.

I just don't understand why everyone is so shocked that the price has gone up (and will continue to do so).

RE: 2009 Mustang
Just looked at pics of the, supposed, 2010 mustang which is the concept.
And it looks stupid as &%#@. It's all futuristic/I Robot lookin. Pretty bad.
I love the S197s best because of the retro-mod design and the tribute to the classics.

I like the redesigned model. Ford desperately needs to do something. The problem is S197 are selling very poorly right now. Ford looks on pace to clear maybe 100k units, that's down quite a bit from even 2004.
The problem is, the sales slide started in early 2007, before the recent run on gas or the sour economy. I'm sure it certainly surprsied Ford. Personally, I believe retro designs are polarizing and have a short shelf life in a relatively high volume performance car like a Mustang. It's time for a refresh...

i have heard everything form a 6 ltr motor to bringing back the 302 and a twin turbo 6 for 2010.....i have seen a few "pics" of the change and it looks like a futuristic mistake,IMO!!!
i love the s197....i think it will be "the model to have" in the future years...
