Default outrageous install costs?!

ok so i gota fewquotes from reputable hot rod shops around town and they wanted about $800 to install my shorty headers, offroad h pipe, and 3.90 gears. this sounds excessive. if anyone here has paid to get any of these installed please post up how much you paid. i feel like im getting ripped off and i am getting frustrated. maybe someone knows a good shop around vancouver i could try? i am new to bc so i dont really know the best shops.

$300 for shorties. $400 for long tubes. $600 for FRPP 4.10s and install.

I don't think it's way out of line.....

I paid 500 for install of JBA shortys, UD Pullies, and Delete plates

I paid 300 for install of the 4.10's

My advice, pay the extra for a good driveline shop to do the gears, and then just look for a good "word of mouth" mechanic to do the shortys, and H pipe. The "Hot Rod" shop is what will jack the price a bit....JMO.

Maybe 50-100 high but in the ball park. They shouldn't be
charging anything for the H-pipe as it's part of the shorty
install. I paid $300 for gears and locker install, $400 for
shorties.

IfI had to do it all over again I would have done
my shorties myself along with the motor mounts
(did the motor mounts myself, easy).
You may or may not need new mounts. I needed them.

On my 06....shorty headers...$275....gears....$275.....O/R H pipe, do yourself and save. Those prices are pretty high, maybe in a smaller town???

I called my local dealer the other day for quotes, he said BBK LT's and o/r x would be $3-400.

4.10 gears would be $250, and $40 for royal purple. Totalling 290. Gears are 150 online.

250 for gears is pretty cheap compared to what others have been paying, generally between 300 and 400 it seems

way too much dude. Since youre doing the shorties and putting an o/r on it wont take that long to drop your stock stuff and put your new stuff up. i would DIY and then just have them do the gears
