I'm firmly convinced that 3M tape, alone, will hold a hood scoop on. Not only is the tape super strong, but the scoop isn't even in a high velocity area. Most of the air going over grill goes right over the scoop and hits the windshield, that's why ram-air hoods and shakers aren't very effective cold air systems and also why cowl hoods are effective.

Thanks for the replies. So the key is in the prep. I have some louvers on my side windows but they stuck to the glass and the slots face the rear so they don't catch the air like the scoops do. I just prepped those with alcohol.
I've seen the xenon scoops on ebay but if they don't look good in person I'll keep looking.
Does anybody know of one that does look good. No drilling if something does happen to it or if I change my mind and go another route I don't want to be stuck with holes in my hood.

The roush scoop requires drilling. I don't want to do that. I think that I found the side scoops that I want at american muscle.

I have the Ford OEM scoop, and it does look sharp. But what it also does is make that hood wobble. You are creating a drag on the front with the scoop and when you hit 70 plus the hood will shake. I am looking at putting pins on the front because of the scoop.
