Does anybody know what the stock gear ratio is for a 2008 GT. Some people are telling me its 3.31 and some people are telling me its 3.55. Where can i find this in writing also.

 

99% sure that the 3.31 is standard for both the Auto and the Manual transmission in '08. The 3.55 isan option with the Manual only. Damn law makers in congress withtheir CAFE standards keeping us down.

 

yeah i think the 05-06 had the 3.55 standard and 07-08 3.55 is an upgrade option only. I believe the code on the inside of yourdriver sidedoor isCG or BGfor the 3.31 gears.

Look underneath the rear bumper and you should see a sticker that states that on the rear axle.

 

I have a 2008 GT/CS manual 3.31 stock 3.55 opt.Door codes above are correct.

 

look at the pumpkin....a sticker will be on the housing!!!!!! or just read the code ffrom the inside of the car door panel.......as expalined above....

+1....3.31 STANDARD for manual, but in Canada 3.55 is STANDARD on the manual
all auto's are 3.31 and GT500 is 3.31
