Default Poss. Timing or Acceleration issue? NEED HELP!

Ok, I have a possible timing or acceleration issue, I can’t figure it out. First, I have an SCT tuner, tune, installed, I removed it to revert the car back to stock and the problem is still occurring. Here is the problem….at approximately 3200RPM/80mph, if I floor it, the acceleration does this stuttering, hesitation thing, almost like a kind of skipping, and the acceleration is harsh and very much NOT smooth. I tried removing the tune and the same thing happens but at lower RPMs and speed. The only thing I’ve had done is the airbag program modified at the dealer, but they told me the tune did not have to be removed to reprogram the car. Could this be the issue? Another thing I noticed is unusually more carbon deposits on the exhaust tips.

Did they reflash your ECU after the recall fix?....if they did with your tune in place that could cause pronblems.... reload the tune you bought and try again. if it does it again I htink it is the fuel pump and even if there is no TSB on the newer models the pump can fail. JMO J

I had a tune that have the problem, but around 1200 rpm. It lloked like transmission slipped. I was told by the tune ownerthat it was torq converter to lock up and no problem. I returned back to stock tune. No more problem. You said that you returned to stock. You still have the problem. So, I don't know. Did you returned to stock air box when you reloaded stock tune? I got rid of the tunes and order tunes from BAMA. No more problem.

….at approximately 3200RPM/80mph..
Ok, what about 3200RPM when you're not going 80? In other words, does it stutter at 3200 rpm in all gears?

3000 rpm is where these cars tend to kick in.. almost makes me wonder if it's a cam timing thing...
