I'm just curious about what the factory GT500 stripes are made of. I'm hoping that they are vinyl and I'd be able to peel some off just like I did to my rocker stripes. Any Help?

Yeah you can get them w/o the stripes. They are vinly as stated above.

 

That's cool. I'm just in search of a new rear bumper and I found a GT500 rear but it has some stripes. I'd just be able to do the ole apply heat and pull trick to them then?

 

Yup, it's vinyl. It's kind of gay.

 

If they were painted from the factory it would be like 5 grand extra. haha

i thought all gt500s had to come with stripes...

anyways... easy to remove, doesnt really require a heat gun. i had to remove the dealership name off the back of my mustang (vinyle) and all i had to do was sit the out in the sun for a while and then just peeled it right off, of course i went and washed it and waxed it to get rid of any sticky residue.

just incase you dont trust yourself with a heat gun like i didnt

Got ridof mine a couple weeks ago (bumper stripes were the easiest to remove)...
