Default New Exhaust Idea?

I'm thinking about buying the SLP LM IIs from Summit Racing and having them installed underneath the car like the Pypes Mid Muffler System. What do you guys think?

im sure it will sound good, i think they will sound better then the boomtubes because i think they have the came type of core but you will have pipes comming off them so it should sound more like the 2V's. for only $205 it cant hurt to test it

are they just as obnoxious and loud as the non-muffler SLP set up?

I was thinking about buying 2 of the universal Dynomax Bullet Mufflers/Resonators and welding them in at the midpipe.... 40 bucks per muffler and a $30 install for something unique, pretty similar to your idea yea? I'm glad I'm not the only one thinking this, I felt crazy for a while haha...

I mean I've got the tips at the rear right now so it'd be senseless to buy the Pypes Mid Muffler system when I could just do this. This should actually be closer to the sound of the 2Vs. No it shouldn't be as loud and obnoxious as the SLP LMs. A lot of the SLP LMs systems for other model cars come with mufflers. I'm going to try it out after I get my GT500 conversion done and my new wheels.

what mid pipe do you have thumper? I am curious about this also I have a o/r x with the slp right now and it dont get much louder then that. Im looking more to take away some of the trumpeting.

onlything I am worried about is scraping them since I have the sportlines

Tombstang. I've got the factory H pipe with cats. I'm going to be going with a O/R X though. I'm trying to get some better sound out of them. I think you should definitely get them since you don't have cats !!

It doesn't matter. It's just a muffler. It's 2.5" IN/OUT so it'll fit.

I dunno I actually like the wicked raw sound of my set up now, Im hesitant though cause the TT im going with has tiny cats soI dont want to make it to quite once that goes on. I have had 3 diff exhaust set ups now and I refuse to spend any more money until I get my turbo then Ill figure out what is best. Im not sure if I liek the slp with the h- pipe thoughy I may have to go back to the macs and pro chamber.......I hate this dam exhaust dilema's on our cars.

Its either the raw sound of the slp or the macs with h or pro chamber for me. I should have just kept my h, x pipes and macs.
