Anyone install a Roush hood scoop with just 3M?
<\\;P>\\;I am not too thrilled about drilling holes into my car. I change my mind just about every day on what I want to do with it. From what I have read, air hits the front grille, passes over the hood, and hits the windshield. Is this right?<\\;/P>\\;

i have the same problem just like you. i dont want to drill holes either. im sure this a real good 3m tape out out there. just make sure you use a adhesive promoter. i also highly recomend you install a hood scoop insert as well so that no air gets in there. the insert can be installed with 3m tape as well.

Well...would love to hear from those who have actually done it and gone over 70MPH on the hwy. I know drilling 7 holes is nerve wrecking, but it can be easily be done. Heck, I am by no means mechanically inclined or skilled with any tools..specially drills, but this was my first mod.
You should have seen my wife running away from the garage the second she heard the drill going. But it turned out just perfect, as long as you measure twice and drill once. The roush template is right on the money. If you decide to drill, send me a PM and I'll give you a few tips that will make life a bit easy, before, during and after.

well, speaking as one with a red vert with black stripes...i can tell you a couple of tips on installing scoops... first, if you install it with tape, it will pull your stripes up at excessive speeds. second, if you put it over your stripes it will cause them to "bunch" up. drilling holes is the way to go, but if your tired of it, then you have to buy a new hood... jmo
