As long as you don't become a 'poser' and badge it as a Saleen then go for it. If you want to badge it as a real Saleen then I strongly disagree with that tactic. That would be just as lame as putting a GT badge on a 6-cylinder.
You do realize that the whole point of Saleen from the begining was to let people buy all of their non limited edition models in parts and do the labor of installing it themselves to save money? There's a moratorium on parts when they release a new model of course so you can't get them as soon as they sell a car, but what I've just said is their entire business plan.

Now If we were talking a Shelby here I would agree with you, the entire Shelby parts list would have to be put on from grille to the suspention to the intake to the real hood pins, before it was ok to badge the car as a Shelby.

Putting the kit on isn't posing. It's putting on the emblems that most people consider posing. I could care less whether or not you badge it. If it looks good, it looks good.

That being said, I say go for it!

Even putting the emblems on is not posing....posing is telling someone it is a real Saleen. I say go for it bud and that is coming from a Saleen owner!

Do what makes you happy...I think it is a great blowerand a great looking kit.

Call it a Saleen; don't call it a Saleen - do what ever you think looks good. I think it is a great plan.

I would probably badge it. The body kit as a whole plus the supercharger and nessecary center exahust would set me back around 8600. At that point it would be almost identical sans the speedometer and seats. I'm just wondering as to what others would think of that. Obviously, if I spend that much money on a GT I would not want people ragging on it all the time.

By the way, here is a picture of my car. Since this picture I have had 20% tint installed.
