Had my 03 GT keyed about 4 years ago. Luckily it was only on the spoiler and I caught who did it. Black is definitely a tough color to get matched right. My friend's mom's 98 GT (black)was wrecked, and when they got it fixed the color on the wrecked body panels totally didn't match. It looked horrible. He finally had to get the entire car repainted. Moral to the story, make sure you have a reputable shop do it since black is a really tough color to deal with. Good luck, and don't worry, usually the kind of people who key cars are stupid enough to go around bragging about it, so hopefully you'll find the tool that did it.

Sorry to hear that man!! My car got dinged too and now im gonna have to fix it out of my pocket cuz of some person hating on my car!!!
That is my worst fear for my car getting keyed when im at work.... every time i go home i check it all the way around to see if anything has happened to it!!
My advice is to put up surveillance cameras so that u feel more comfortable taking your car to work!

Sorry to hear this. Had my car keyed down the whole passanger side last year and had to get it repainted. Was around a grand and I paid the $500 deductable. Good thing is my insurance rates didnt go up which I though they would. My car is also black and it isnt a 100% perfect match but it's close enough and could've been much worse.

I am so sorry to hear about your car. Indeed the same thing happened to my car a few days ago while I was at work. He or she (whoever the m'fer was) scratched my hood sooo hard there are actual divets in the fiberglass. I also have two long scratches from the front quarter panel all the way back to my tail on the driver's side........DOWN TO THE METAL.

It made me nauseous when I saw it. BUT>>>the good new is it can be repaired. My deductible for vandalism is $100 which the insurance already deducted from my payment check. My damages came out to $1550. Goes back to my body man in a week or so for repairs......

Dude, it happens but IT SUCKS!!!!!!!!!! Let me know how it goes.......

WOW- Shella sorry that happened [:@] and to the OP sorry about that happening [:@]- and I agree with Simon1 on this and how it should be fixed....sanded and painted (feathered or not) and the whole panel recleared and wet sanded and has to meet or exceed factory paint (which should not be hard to do for any reputable shop). Let us see before and afters! J
