Default what should i do with my exhaust...

hey guys..

as of right now.. i have a SLP modular X pipe.. had the dumps made and welded in for my cutouts.. and just recently removed the cats, so its basically an O/R X...

the thing is.. there is so mayne cuts, splices, and then the capped Y pipes, that i feel like this is just killing any performance i could be getting.. plus.. this will be the third freakin time takin it to the muffler shop to fix this damn rattle these mid mufflers are causing..(its the over axle pipe on the passenger side)..

so heres what im thinking.. since i never ever open the cutouts anymore.. im thinking about selling/trading my modular X along with the high flow cats and cutouts for an O/R H/X ... i really dont mind the X with this setup.. but wouldnt mind an H again.. but the X would give me that power..

but the key to exhaust making any HP and about the Flow... and if theres bumps and splices and dumps capped off, trapping and fckin up the flow.. then im killing the performace..

i have probably spent about $1500 on this freakin exhaust.. it makes me sick thinking about it..

origionally it was my stock mid pipe and mufflers with cutouts.. then repairs on all that .. then the modular x pipe.. then the dumps for the cutouts on that pipe, and then the the mid mufflers, then the ratteling.. i just want this **** to be done.. and then in a few months i will be getting my LT's..

but what do you guys think?.. i mean im so ready to get rid of this sh.it that i would be down to even trade my SLP mid pipe (priced at like $450 or something rediculous) plus my cats and welded in Y pipes straight up for an O/R X...

what do you thinik?

Honestly bro, I would say clean it up, get a nice free flowing O/R X and be done with it, you'll feel better

Just wait untill you get the LT's, dont spend any more cash on exhaust work untill then. I would just get a nice h or x pipe and then have the shop weld it all at the same time (maybe save some coin) towards the rear its usually trhe hangers or clamps that cause rattles. I have Kooks long tubes and there matching x pipe and flowmaster 40's and I had every piece welded up including the muffler clamps, we even put the entire system on and tightened it up to check fitment and made a few minor (rear hanger) adjustments then welded it up and no rattles ever. the welding was free since they included it into my install work (just under 400 dollars) which to me I thought was high, but I was very happy and still am.

Just be sure to insist they weld the entire seam and not just a fast spot weld.

lol or just go with the slp and say **** ya neighbors and anybody within 2 miles of you when you get above 3 grand...........

the macs are actually louder then the slp going through a neighborhood like yours trying to be quiet, macs are louder at idle and lower rpms
