Cleaning Engine Bay

Cleaning Engine Bay
I saw a post on here before, but couldn't find it.
My engine bay was pretty dirty when I changed my oil. It's too much to spot clean and I'm going to spray it off.
Apparently people just spray them down and don't cover anything...just dry out spark plugs when done.
Does anyone use anything other than just water to cut the grease? Could I just use the degreaser spray at the auto washes?
Any info would be cool as I'm getting ready to go wash the car.

RE: Cleaning Engine Bay
I wouldn't hit the engine with high pressure spray. Normal garden hose is your best bet (I've never needed to dry the spark plugs). Also, you shouldn't need degreaser. That stuff's for engines that have beenneglected for many years.
While the engine's warm, spray it down with Simple Green or Windex, let it sit for few minutes, then hose it off. While the engine's still wet, spray it Armor All (or anything comparable), close the hood and wash the rest of the car. Once you're done with the car wash, wipe the excess Armor All off the engine. Take your time wiping out all of the nooks and crannies and your engine bay will look brand new again.
