Looks great. I know the feeling about leaning over the fender for a couple of hours.

So I ended up going with the black powder coated FRPP Cam Covers. The kit from FRPP is very complete, including new gaskets, bolts, oil filler neck, and two variable camshaft timing oil control solenoid plugs....
SO can I re-use those things or do I need to purchase them if I pull off my valave covers and have them powder coat them. I have a friend that owns a powder coating business and will do any color I want. Just trying to have verything I need before I start.

I would see no problem with re-using the OEM parts. They were all in very good condition, but since I had the new stuff........I went ahead and used em all....I would just be careful punching the camshaft timing plugs out. Take a look at Taco Bill's how to on the Cam Covers. Has a very good demo on punching out the plugs.....

looks good, but i cant figure out why people wouldnt just paint them themselves? i used a black wrinkle when i resprayed my ford motorsport covers for my II and they came out REALLY nice and cost all of like 10 bucks to do (including carb cleaner to wet a rag and wipe paint off the fins). if you wanted a different color, you could use the black wrinkle to lay a base coat and then add a layer or two of red, blue, or whatever you wanted.

dont mind those quadrouple stacked gaskets, they are my "custom" valve cover spacers so my roller rockers dont hit
