Hurst shifter and Rattling noise
I installed a Hurst shifter (Ford Racing) several months ago, and lately I am getting a rattle at higher rpms if I am not holding the shifter, any clues? Of course this all happened as soon as the temperature stated to rise here in Vegas. I have already gone through and check all the bolts to make sure they are tight, It is driving me nuts, could there being something wrong in the traney and it is resigning through the shifter?
Please help!

RE: Hurst shifter and Rattling noise
Where did you see the posting about Hurst suggesting thin rubber washers? and do you know what size they might be. I have loctited the bolts and it still rattles, so I will try the washers, and hopefully it will workers. thanks.
P.s. never use red loctite, I broke a wrench try to lossen the bolts...

RE: Hurst shifter and Rattling noise
Hello all,
I also installed the Billet Hurst shifter and experienced the same vibration issue. After some though, I replaced the rear bushing with the OEM and the problem went away. Furhtermore, since replacing the bushing I have not noticed any difference in shifting performance which is good. The washer theory is interesting.
