If that is all that he has done to his car it wont be hard to beat him. ignore the tb spacer poster. yes to the posters on the stock wheels. 4.10s, under drive pulleys, cmcv deletes,1 piece driveshaft, LT headers (there are also some shorties thave give good gains too, just not as good) Lower control arms might help you. weight reductions, such as spare, jack, rear seats, front sway bar delete. relocate battery to the trunk.

If you can do all those things you will demolish him!

Either your buddy is very fast or that is his 1/8 mile time! None of the stock F-bodies in my crew are that fast. I have owned 3 f-bodies and with DR's exhaust and intake I was only able to muster real low 13's

Of course you are probably basing this off the fact that your buddy beats you and you figure your car is a 13 second car stock and your mods must be worth something, but then you have to figure that you have no torque due to your wide open exhaust that you claim in your sig! HAHAHAHA

I used to beat up on lt1 camaros with my lightly modded fox body. It ran 14.0. You should have no problem beating him if you lose the 20's and can drive. Off the showroom floor my car ran 14.1 and with nothing more than a canned sct tune it ran 13.4. The car has only gone down the track about 5 times so i'm sure both of those times could have been better with more practice.

If he's that arrogant he's either clueless or he's hiding something. There are only two things that I would do to prepare for this race 1. LOSE THE 20s and 2. PRACTICE. You should be able to beat him if he hasn't opened the motor up or thrown nitrous to it.

i have a 06 with the bolt ons u see and have 20 inch wheels.one of my buddies just bought a 2001 z28. he has the ls1 with long tubes and a tune.i still handled him pretty easy. u should be able to out run him nowbut a good tune,throttle body,cold air 410s stuff like that would definitly be a good way to make sure

camaros are decent cars, though. it should be close - but if a camaro is modded, it is a street burner. a kid i went to hs with had a new SS - he previously had a 97 i believe that was modded a little bit but supposedly not of the same caliber as the ss. anyway, the red 97 was given to his lil brother and they raced...and the older camaro won! so, he had a big block stuck in the SS....then that car was a beast. another guy had a transam - not sure of the year, but of the same generation with an LT4 conversion and it was a really BAD car, too. my friend tanner is puttin a stroked 383 in his IROC and it will be a great car as well...i don't think guys can just say you'll smoke a camaro- a lot depends on the driver plus, in my experience anyway, they are really quick up to about 45 mph, so if you're not doin a full 1/4 idk what would happen
