Default Window Tint

I finally get my car back from getting my windows tinted. So excited to see how they turned out. Is there anything special that i need to do to clean them?

Make sure you use cleaner that doesn't have any ammonia in it. If it doesn't say it's safe for tints, don't use it. That doesn't apply to the outside of the windows, of course, since the tint's on the inside. You can use whatever kind of window cleaner you want on the outside.

I like Invisible Glass. Works well.

the invisible glass works real well, but ive been using adams detail spray which is designed to work on the windows as well. best detail spray ive ever used!! Found it at the all ford nationals in carlislePA a few years ago.

I hope you had your tint guy install felt or moleskin before putting the tints on. If not, you're going to see more scratches than ever!!!

No i did not, I never heard of such a thing before. I just now got it back and it looks really good and has totally transformed the look of the car. Amazing how such a simple change can make a big difference. The car is less than 3 weeks old so hopefully there are not going to be too many scratches. Nice to know for in the future.

He shouldn't need moleskin with an 08 AFAIK.

Invisible glass is great to clean with but honestly I'd find something other than MF towels. I hate those things on glass. I always get a ton of fibers left over on my windshield. Worse, I've actually ended up scratching my car before because some tiny little bit of crap got stuck in the fibers on the towel. I always check mine carefully now before using them on the car.
