Default Noob Help

Hello everyone,

I just want to start off by saying this is my first post. I really have been enjoying reading all the topics here. The question I have is I just bought a 08 GT automatic and was wondering what is the the easiest way to go from 300hp to 500hp. I have been wanting to get a Mustang for years and finally my wife told me to go and get one, so I did it. And if anyone knows of any good shops in the Chicagoland area (by Midway Airport) to do the install. Thank you.

Any form of aspiration will give you the big gains you need to acheive large chunks of HP. After that, there are other things for some smaller "chunks" (i.e., headers/exhaust, delete plates, UDP's, etc.). Be sure to choose a competent tuner.

Well supercharging is definitley not the only way to get there. But it's more than likely the most logical and cost-efficient choice for the average Mustang owner. By the way you asked the question, I would imagine your simplest bet would be to buy a box setup. As in one that comes with everything and you take it somewhere and have it installed and tuned (which is very critical). Or if you do find a good speed shop in your area, tell them what you are interested in and they should be able to point you in the right direction.

Welcome and happy modding.

make sure you upgrade all of your fuel lines and such, you dont want to end up like the guy who blew his motor right before his son was born. Now hes broke and without a car
