Default wax

Just came back for a car detailling shop to make an appoinment to wax my car and he told me I cant wax it for at least one year since its brand new and it has a paint sealer on it from the factory and the wax wont adhere to the paint has anyone herd of this before

i have never heard of that..if you do wax it, use meguires its the best!

In the old days when they painted cars with lacquer, sometimes "they" said to wait a few months before waxing, on the theory that the lacquer needed to "dry." That never made sense to me since when we used to paint cars with lacquer, we were sanding, compounding, and waxing in a couple of days.

These days with the enamel based paints, there is nothing to wait for.

true...some are saying that when they get new body kits painted, the body shop is telling them to wait a month before waxing...but never a year.

I was going to wax mine tommorrow but I guess I shouldwait until someone can confirm the real waiting period to wax.

Max I've heard is 90 days on fresh paint. I'm going to try the tech 2.0 next. Hey how much did the boss striping kit cost you pat?
