Default Gas Tank..doing it again.. Update.

Ive already taken in my Car a few months ago and had the fuel tank replaced because of the TSB issue which was affecting me..and now its doing it again..

Its starting to click off about 1/4 of a tank before its even full...
Im going to take it back in on monday who knows..they might have to replace it yet again..kind of a pain.. I also need to get my sterio checked out and the lock covering on my door pops off evertime the lock clickes..bla

I have bad luck..

Anyone else had this happen to them more then once?

..and I imagine you guys have tried the 90 degrees nozzle tilt thing? I had problems twice since I got mine in 2006 and never took it to the dealer. Tilting the nozzle fixed it for me back then, now I just fill it up normally.

One thing I found that works, I twist the pump so I'm basically pumping it almost upside down, and that works for me. Looks funky, but gets the job done. This is a really annoying problem

When you are almost completely upside down...any problems with the pump automatic shut off thingy?

No, the auto shut-off is not gravity activated. Its fuel flow activated.

I do the 90 degree thing and it has not been a problem since.
I dont think the tank replacement fixes the problem 100%.
I had anew07 and it started as a problem until I did the 90
degree trick. Now it does not bother me. Its indicitive to the
saddle bag style fuel tank we have. Or your eVap filter could
be clogged. Its located under therear of the stangundera
plasticcover. If the filter becomes clogged, the fuel tank wont
vent properly and the backpressure causes the fuel to back
up in the filler tube during refueling. The 1" round 2 foot long
snaking filler tube does not help the situation either.

Its indicitive to the saddle bag style fuel tank we have. The vent system is
trying to catch all the fuel vapors that have to be expelled when the fuel tries
to occupy the same space in the fuel tank during refilling. Ford FUed on this one.
The 1" round 2 foot long snaking filler tube does not help the situation either.

btw the V6 fuel tanks lack the baffles the GT tanks have so beware boosted V6 owners

It doesnt have anything to do with the nozel..there is a non specified recall because of the sensor in the gas that makes it think its full up to overflowing. The tank in my car was compleatly replaced already because of the problem and now im going to take it in on monday and have them look at it again and see if it needs to be replaced again..so its very anoying since the problem was suposed to be resolved.

Can you name this "sensor" in the fuel tank
and explain how it communicates with the
gas pump to prematurally shut off the gas flow?
My electrical diagrams dont show ANY such sensor.
Maybe I am overlooking it. If I knew what is was
offically called, I could look it up.
