Default Pypes Mid muffler People, please check in

I installed my PMM system on Thursday. First, I can't get the clamps to tighten enough without bending the bolt and almost breaking. But Pypes is sending me new clamps. 2nd. I can not get the passenger side tip high enough, its an 1" or more lower than the drivers side. I don't see how I could adjust it anymore. Has anyone had problems with there tailpipes with this kit? I think I'm gonna have to have another hanger welded in to get the hight correct. I don't even see how adjusting the rest of the pipes with give me 1" or so more room. Any help guys?

Yes, I had the same problem with the passenger tip as well. I had a muffler shop install mine and I told him just to cut the rod on the tailpipe, push it up and re-weld it. Turned out OK. Only complaint I have about the kit as it sounds awesome.

Did you have a problme with the clamps being junk? I can't even get the tailpipe tight on the over axle pipe even with the clamp as tight as possible. Glad iwasn't the only one with the passenger side problem

Didn't seem to have the the problem with the clamps. But ya the passenger side took them a while until we just decided to cut it.

Was it just the front hanger or both that had to be done? I'm guessing the one by the tip right?

I had to reposition/heat/bend both hangers on the last piece on the pass side.
I also went out & bought some clamps from the auto parts store, had 1 or 2 that didn't work so well.
System sounds great, just have to fiddle with it a bit to line up everything well.
Currently no longer have the PMMS installed, but ran it for about 8MO last year.

Same issue here with the pass. side, had to grind off brace and re-weld approx. 1 in. shorter. also broketwo band clamps before I decided to mig weld. PYPES states its better to weld system, but no all customers have welding equip. and the cost may be to much after purchasing the system. PYPES needs to either up grade band clamps so they work and hold the system together. Other than these issues its a great system.
