Matte black FTMFW for looks, but FTMFL for maintenance (trust me.. It doesn't get to look like this automagically)..

Either way, get them PAINTED. You'll be glad you did.

I'm assuming you got your stripes painted? Where did you go to get them painted? Was it a local automotive shop or like a Ford dealership. The only thing I don't like about getting them painted is that they can not paint on top of the clearcoat. So they have to sand and do a whole bunch of other things. I'm new to the whole automotive world as I am only 16 but I am learning. I act a lot older than most kids my age would. Anyhow, that is my reason why I got my stripes as a decal instead of getting them painted. I could be wrong about the whole painting them on thing.

Yes, mine are painted. No you cannot spray on top of clearcoat without prepping it first. Yes they have to sand. I'm quite familiar with what has to happen but if you'd like to learn more, you can dig through the few hundred shots I took of my car during the transformation.

I definitely want to get my stripes painted and will later in the future but I just don't trust a local automotive shop sanding my car and all the other steps necessary for the painting of the stripes. Where did you get yours done at?

Fortunately there is a shop within a half-hour of my house that has had winning cars at SEMA for three years running. They did all the work for me, and no, it wasn't cheap. At 16, you'd better have either rich parents, or a deceased relative that left you some loot. I spent ~$7k for everything I had done.
